Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and Washington. Mrs. Clinton, by contrast, has won but a single caucus: in Nevada. She also has a slight lead in New Mexico's Feb. 5 caucus, in which provisional ballots are still being counted. Blogger Kevin Drum offers some explanations for Obama's caucus advantage: Caucuses require organization and Obama was better organized. They require enthusiasm and he has more enthusiastic supporters. They require time, and his demographic has more free time. They're mostly in small states, and Obama targeted small states. They're dominated by activists, and activists tend to support Obama. To put it another way, caucuses require that a candidate's support be deep, while primaries require that it be broad.

The lady with the golden pipes, Christina Aguilera, has been working on a signature scent to sell to the masses, but it's not going too well, according the latest market research. The Daily Mirror says that Xtina's new fragrance, aptly titled Simply Christina, has not been getting the best reviews from recent testers. Consumers are calling it "tacky" and a member of one London panel said, "The packaging looked cheap and we went away unimpressed." I realize the powerhouse has recently changed her image from sexy little vixen to mature glamour puss, but maybe she should have just stuck with her old look and named the perfume "Dirrty" -- then nobody would be disappointed. .

Supporters say it gives players and potential ones for these teams a sense of stability. Well, such only is the case if those players actually like that successor-in-waiting. And what if you're Florida State, and you're locked into Jimbo Fisher to follow Bobby Bowden, which is the case, and then Mark Richt decides a few years from now that he really would bolt Georgia for Florida State? Fisher or Richt. That's a tough one. "It really does seem odd when hierarchies in sports are set up so transitions are already in place before they actually occur," McGuirk said. "Then again, that does seem to be a new phenomena, and it's one that we're not familiar with." Instead, the Braves are among the shrinking majority when it comes to that trend.
